Should You Plan a Cruise Post-Pandemic?

As many people start to remove their face masks and resume normal activities, some may wonder whether they should plan a cruise post-pandemic. To answer this question, NBC 10’s Mya Hudgins spoke with Brad Tolkin of World Travel Holdings, a cruise line based in Los Angeles. Vaccinations are a must for any cruise, and the company is enforcing stricter standards for those who want to enjoy the cruise experience.

While cruise ship accidents are rare, there are a few things to keep in mind before you book your trip. First, make sure the sleeping quarters are safe for your children. Some children do not know how to climb onto or off of bunk beds. Hence, you may want to choose a single bed room for your children. If your child is not familiar with the rules of safety, you may be putting him or her at risk of climbing out of bunks after lights-out.

Another thing to keep in mind when booking your cruise is the safety of your kids. Cruise ships generally offer a safe environment for children to play. However, parents must still supervise their kids at all times to prevent them from getting into trouble. It is best to discuss your child’s rules with another adult on board. Also, make sure they know who to contact in case of an emergency. A kid can easily get into trouble, especially if they are not old enough to swim or dive.
